And then we watch her watch her own children get married and become parents as well, and make her a grandmother of four. "And it examines," she says, "the deaths of my parents after more than half a century of a fulfilling life in a new country. I have tried to examine who I was and who I have become, and everything that I've learned along the way. It is my hope that this book will give my children and grandchildren greater insight into our family history and a strong understanding of where they came from. It's about the significant moments in our lives that flourish in our memory."
