There was still some snow on the ground and the area was fenced off for the demolition of the structure. Little did I know as I took what I imagined to be my last series of photographs that instead this was the beginning of a periodic pilgrimage that would last several years as I documented this wonderful building, left in a state of limbo. After the destruction of this monument among monuments, I was fortunate to be able to carry on a dialog with Dion Neutra, who with his father, Richard Neutra, designed this architectural masterpiece.
