Throughout the action-packed tales that begin in 1898 and continue through the present day, Flatt offers an entertaining glimpse into the two families' experiences as they moved from Tennessee to Kentucky, and then to Ohio and back to Tennessee again; married and gave birth to offspring; attempted to survive the challenges surrounding the Great Depression and two world wars; and dealt with killers. Flatt also shares background into his own life as he transformed into a professional musician, married twice, raised children, bought two motorcycles in the same day, retired, and battled health issues. Included are two family trees that can be utilized as a reference.
The Flatt Family Stories is the memoir of two Southern families as they navigated through one hundred and twenty-three years of life.
