The book discloses fascinating details of the inner workings of the FBI. It provides captivating insight into the investigations of a multitude of cases personally worked on by the author, including drugs, fugitives, white collar crime, foreign counterintelligence, espionage, police corruption, civil rights and internal affairs matters. Meticulous descriptions of the agent's work in these investigations invite the reader into the story alongside the agent. As injustices mount, Larsh's scrapes with FBI management increase. He exposes a dark side of the FBI hierarchy, illustrating their pettiness, vindictiveness, massive egos, and retaliatory nature. This eye-opening book offers a rare and frank portrayal of the world's premier law enforcement agency.
Author Biography
I was born in Baltimore, Maryland. I worked my entire career for the FBI from the age of twenty-two until my retirement at the age of fifty in 2012. I currently live in Hanover, Pennsylvania, where I enjoy golfing, writing, playing the trombone, shooting pool, riding my bicycle, watching old movies, following sports, working out, and listening to my favorite music. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Cindy, and our two grown children, Ethan and Mary. We also enjoy visiting our extended families who live mainly in Maryland and Pennsylvania. My preferred travel destination is the Highlands of Scotland, the ancestral home of my paternal grandmother. I love golfing on Scottish links courses, hiking mountains, visiting my Chisholm cousins, and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Highlands. This is my second book. I published a novel in December 2016, entitled, L'Archevêque, based on the true story of a French fur trader in the 1700s, my direct ancestor, Paul L'Archevêque, also known as Paul Larsh.
