Moreover, Kagame unleashed a wave of terror against Rwigema's family, driven by a deep-seated insecurity concerning Rwigema's enduring legacy. First, rather than a unified leadership, Kagame's regime is largely filled with Hutu politicians who have been recycled from exile. Second, Kagame's Rwanda is dominated by white men, predominantly from the United States, who occupy key positions across almost all critical institutions. The erasure of Rwigema's vision, legacy, and achievements is not only tragic but serves as a stark reminder of the upheaval that arises from a dictator's relentless pursuit of power. Rwigema's dream of an inclusive and prosperous Rwanda stands as a powerful symbol of hope, overshadowed by the chaos that has ensued in its absence.
