After completing twelve years as an aerospace engineer, he changed professions and taught secondary math, physics, computer science, aeronautics, astronomy, robotics, and several other courses. After retirement from teaching, he worked with teachers in graduate programs, mentored and tutored students, and spoke to young people about aeronautics, space flight, and learning.
