One hundred years ago a small Idaho high school graduated its first class of three students. From then until 1965 hundreds of boys and girls passed through the doors of that two story white frame building. Through the years, it stood a proud symbol of a community shaped by generations of capable, dedicated teachers. Here 37 surviving students and a teacher from the '40s share their life stories beginning with their time within the walls of that school. Tellers of these stories share gratitude for teachers who educated and often tamed them. They praise the small school experience where each learned to speak before others, performed in plays and learned to read and play music; where all played sports and had a chance to hold office and serve on committees. Older readers will find here much to entertain them while bringing to mind memories long fading. Younger readers will get a glimpse at the life that made their parents and grandparents the people they are. All will find this an entertaining, enlightening and worthwhile read. This is an anthology, a collection of personal stories describing incidents in the lives of 37 individuals. The stories themselves are miniversions of the biographies of the contributors.
