Getting real with food has been my personal obsession for myself and others, who agree managed health care with pharmaceuticals in not an option. What stymies me is the acceptance of pharmaceuticals to manage many of today's serious health related ailments as the best option. As a nurse administering countless medications to our seniors, knowing the side effects of each prescription has moved me to find a better way back to optimal health. Aging is not a disease, and to maintain an active lifestyle we need to look no further than what is on our plate. Pharmacy has its' place as an intervention but optimal health is up to the individual to assess what they choose to eat.
