Groups are an important place where this capacity for deep presence can be practiced and held. It is a place where we can weave into life a dropped thread of love.
On a practical level, Listening Circles also serve to address the trauma that can be found in some who are facing homelessness or in transition, such as refugees, or those in mental health distress. The circles function not by way of directly addressing the trauma, but by focusing on the place within a woman that is inviolable, that is always whole, and is itself a source of healing.
