At 87 years old, many of her childhood memories are as sharp and detailed as if they had happened just recently. A rich and colorful history comes to life in this memoir of Juliet, written by her daughter who decided to write the stories to keep her legacy alive. The oldest of eight children, and before they had electricity or running water in their home, Juliet took on much of the responsibility of helping raise her younger siblings. After years of challenges, they finally arrived at the point her daddy referred to as High Cotton.
