Outside of music, Styles has acted in films, including Dunkirk (2017), Don't Worry Darling, and My Policeman (both 2022). He is also known for his philanthropy and personal philosophy to "Treat People With Kindness." His fans adore him.

She has contributed to publications such as Rolling Stone, NPR Music, The Guardian, Salon, Time, Billboard, and The Los Angeles Times, amongst others. Her books include Duran Duran's Rio, (Bloomsbury Academic as part of the 33 1/3 series, 2021), Lady Gaga: Applause (Palazzo, 2022) and Pink: Raise Your Glass (Palazzo, 2023).
