When he retired from law enforcement, Dennedy found a different calling. He established a prison ministry. For 25 years, in both Otisville Federal Penitentiary, and Shawangunk State Prison he practiced his ministry touching the soul and conscience of men like those he locked up during his days in the NYPD. For those he counseled with prison time still to be served, he turned their lives around so they could do their time in peace. And for those who had the good fortune of being released, his guidance provided the foundation upon which they built productive, crime free lives.
The story of Jimmy's journey from Brooklyn's toughest cop to his prison ministry needed to be shared with the world. Hard Guys Cry tells that story!
