Author Biography
Amy Daumit is a teacher, writer, speaker, and free spirit. She holds undergraduate degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and her Juris Doctorate. What she really loves, however, is helping others and sharing in their journey. Blogging became a part of her personal journey to healing and soon blossomed into a book; forget me not, learning to live with me and for me. The book became the inspiration for Forget Me Not Advocacy Group, a nonprofit focused on stopping domestic violence before it starts, through education and community awareness, while supporting those who are healing from abuse. Through Forget Me Not Advocacy Group, Amy is able to integrate her love of teaching and her love of helping others, while working to provide individuals with the tools they need to recognize, avoid, or heal from abuse. There is healing that can happen and you can find the person you were always meant to be. You just have to believe in yourself and find your happiness.
