Mary Davis Henry, Alabama's Mother of the Year in 1953, was also an author of two books: One Mile from Trinity and The Annals of Ann Fennel Davis. The wife of a highly esteemed Methodist minister, Mrs. Henry was a gifted artist and the mother of five. With a wry sense of humor and a keen eye for life in the church, she brings us the story of her family's walk of faith as they move from church to church in Alabama.

About the author's granddaughter and editor Anne Henry Tidmore:
Anne Henry Tidmore was born in Montgomery, Alabama. She attended Emory University in Atlanta for two years and graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery with a BA degree in English.
Anne was Regent of the White House Association of Alabama from 2009 until 2015. She currently serves as the President of the Board of the Montgomery County Historical Society. "We are all stewards of God's blessings. My ancestral family is a God-honoring blessing, and I feel that it is part of my stewardship to keep that story alive."
