Years of hard work and opportunities allowed him to build a trucking business and attain property and a life on the side filled with money, women and drugs. The family would pay the price for his success through years of physical, mental and sexual abuse, and many other unwanted circumstances.
Throughout the book, the reader will witness the brokenness of the family and their gradual resilience as they grow older. The writer will take the reader through a present and past journey into the world she remembered and observed and the one she survived, as a daughter. Many untold stories will be revealed about this man. These stories will carefully depict this complicated, untamed, and narcissistic man who caused so much suffering and anguish. Along the way, the writer will share brief moments of hope, kindness, and love from this man. The years of anger from the writer will be felt throughout the book yet will end with forgiveness, closure, and a return to love for her father.
