As the image of the strong woman and the presence of feminism in contemporary dance is interestingly examined, this book documents some of the eclectic works/dances of three most prominent Malaysian women choreographers, Marion D'Cruz, Aida Redza and Mew Chang Tsing by exploring the roles that they created for and of women in their dances. The book proclaims that the women choreographers, their dances and the roles of the strong and their stories theorize a female model of development which posits an authentic voice for women. Ultimately, this reflects women's strengths, women's determination, women's authority and women's empowerment.
