The original Japanese edition of Colourful Sashiko was published in Autumn 2020 and has already reprinted numerous times; the sequel by the same author, entitled Everyday Sashiko, was published in Autumn 2021.

Sashiko, a type of embroidery specially used to embellish cloth or clothing, is very popular in Japan, and this particular type of colourful Sashiko is trendy among Japanese crafters between the ages of 30 and 40.
