Mike Norris Position as professional baseball pitcher Bats: Right Throw: Right Jersey Number: 17 One -Time All Star Two-Time Gold Glove Drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 1st round (24) in 1973. Mike Norris is one of only 15 African American pitchers in the history of Major League Baseball to have a 20+ wins in one season. This accomplishment earned him entrance into the group called, "The Black Aces". In addition, Norris, is the only player to win at least 1 game with the Oakland A's in 3 different decades. Graduated from Balboa High School in San Francisco, California Debut April 10, 1975 Last Game: July 4, 1990
