In 2018, over fifty years after Hand first read A Wrinkle in Time, Walt Disney Studios released a major motion picture based on the award-winning classic. The movie was directed by Ava DuVernay, written by Jennifer Lee and starred Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha Raw and Storm Reid. In the film adaptation, Meg doubts her abilities to find her missing father. Mrs Which, the oldest of the celestial beings, turns to her and says, "Be a Warrior! Can you?" Becoming a Warrior, is the triumphant story of how one woman finds the courage to overcome many forms of darkness and discovers that love isn't what you feel, it's what you do.
